Jamis Dragon Pro 27.5 Bike 2016 Dragons have long been portrayed as fire breathing mythical creatures in countless fairytales. Now is your chance to harness one. The Jamis Dragon was crafted from Reynolds 853 DZB air- hardened/cold-worked chrome-moly steel, which provides an incredibly lively ride. The Jamis Dragon is thee mountain bike that built Jamis' high-end reputation in their early years; the legend is still going strong. If you're committed to steel hardtails and ready to convert to the magic of mid-sized wheels, the Dragon Pro 27.5 is a great option. The Jamis Dragon Pro 27.5 is beautifully crafted from Reynolds 853 DZB steel, which provides an incredibly resilient and sturdy ride. With the addition of oversized 44mm head tubes, the Dragon Pro has adopted tapered steerer forks to add more stiffness, reduce weight and improve tracking in rough terrain. The Dragon also now features a chainstay/seatstay disc brace that supports the thin-walled, non-driveside stays from the loads generated by the disc brakes. This brace is light, strong, and clean, and provides vibration-free braking. For the drivetrain, the Dragon Pro 27.5 employs an attractive Shimano component arrangement including XT derailleurs and shifters, which clearly communicate with each other for smooth, snappy gear changes. The 2x10 gear set-up provides a plethora of options for tackling the undulating terrain. The Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes are paired with large 180mm (f) and 160mm (r) rotors to bring you to a quick stop, once you've decided to pack it in for the day. The Fox 32 Float fork features a 15mm axle, 32mm stanchions and tapered alloy steerer tube to keep things stiff up front. The Float's adjustable 3-postitin compression, and rebound adjust, allows you to adapt to any condition. The 120mm of travel bridges the gap between XC and Trail for more versatility and comfort. Complementing the fork is KS Suspension's eTen dropper seatpost which is an air spring, hydraulically locked cartridge system that gives you one more way to quickly acclimatize to the trail. The Ritchey Trail stem and handlebar produce a rigid front end for exceptional control, while the WTB KOM TCS tubeless rims are as light as carbon and showcase what is possible with WT69 alloy.
